Willy De Sauter (1938, Brugge) is forever looking for the essence. In his early works, this resulted in frugal use of the line. Later he moved on to other materials and themes, but remained faithful to his minimalist vision. This unity emerges clearly from the retrospective exhibition in the MuHKA.
